I’m hoping this is the kind of post we’ll all be glad I shared down the road when the house is perfect and everything looks great. If nothing else, it will be nice to be able to look back at where we started before we officially became homeowners. Without further ado, here is my dirty laundry:
The boxes. So many boxes in such a small space. The three pink boxes actually started this whole process – we received beautiful wedding gifts in the mail and had absolutely no place to put them other than the middle of the living room floor. The next day we decided to look for a bigger home to rent, and by the end of the day had submitted an offer on the house we now own. Johnathon and I are both impatient, so our decisions tend to be made quickly!
The dining room table. Could you have guessed that we’ve been eating on the couch lately?
My art wall… My never quite finished gallery wall now has become home to all of the art I’ve taken off the walls in preparation for the move. I love art and was honestly running out of wall space in our 750 square foot condo. Hopefully it will go a long way in the new home.
Johnathon’s new desk. We found this gem buried in an antique warehouse and brought it home instead of letting them store it (like sane people would have done). Look out for its makeover, coming soon.
The closet. I really can’t even express how thrilled I am to have an entire house full of closets now. More on that soon.
The bedroom. Ugh. I’m so excited to have so much space now. It’s going to be great!
